1 Star Does NOT work with SCH-U740
Even multiple re-installs and work-arounds would not make this cable/software bundle work with my brand-new Samsung SCH-u740. I never could achieve a connection between my computer and my phone.

4 Stars Using with a u-420
This product does not work on its own with my phone. Once I bought this, I had to download bitpim (http://www.bitpim.org) and follow instructions from http://wiki.howardforums.com/index.php/Samsung_SCH-U420 on using it.

This cable fits many phones, but for the U420 it only allows serial port connections. If you are not willing to work at it, then don’t waste your time.

I bought it mainly to add my own ringtones to my phone. Once I uploaded the ringtones and disconnected the phone, I had trouble getting the phone to see my ringtone inside it. I turned the phone off and on and it was there. It has worked fine since that time.

I gave it a 4 for the following reasons. Some people may have a hard time with this. It can be complicated, but it worked for me.

Everything that I have ever ordered has worked well, I have never had to return anything. I have ordered at least 20 or 30 items and All is Good.

5 Stars Works well enough; Not the OEM piece.
I gave my original USB cable to a friend who had similar phone, and I had to get a new one. I thought this was the OEM one, but that’s my mistake. The cable is a little bulky/sturdy, but does the job. The OEM piece has a quality feel and isn’t as bulky. This cable works just like it should, without any problems.And at the price, there’s no reason to not get it if you need one! I prefer OEM. No regrets on this though.

I bought this for my sch-u740, and the plug in does not even fit in to the charger socket! Look at the picture of the plug and compare it to your charger..they aren’t the same. Don’t buy this if you are looking for a data cable for the sch-u740 model, however there are other ones specifically for that model, just search for them in the search bar.

I bought it for 4.3″ display 265WT.

Semi- hard case design will protect my GPS.

It is too bulky for GPS, inner space is more than 3 times of GPS size.

I wish it was smaller and tight fit on GPS

or it should be larger to keep windshield mount and cable inside.

The size is just in the middle.

I recommend not to buy.

I’ve had this case now for about 4 weeks and have found it to be very nice. It is easy to carry with the strap and the zippers seems to be pretty stabil. How much can you say about a case?

This is a used battery. It was sold here, by Webtreo on 6/3/09. The description did not say used. The price was good. But the lifetime isn’t nearly what the original Palm battery had. About 2 days on standby (screen not lit). The product description states as good or better lifetime than the original and it’s not. Also one of the tamper-evident stickers shows clear signs of being pried up at the edge. And the most convincing evidence is that the gold colored electrical contacts have scrape marks from having much more wear on them than my original battery, which I’ve used constantly for 2 years. They should be perfect from the factory if it was indeed new.

My old battery was practically dead, so this one, regardless of its quality, works better. In that regard, it’s a good deal for $8 (incl. shipping).

However, I urge everyone to double check their order. I was surprised, after ordering, to receive two separate batteries, one from AccessoryOne, and one from Webtreo. At first, I thought perhaps I accidentally made a mistake, since I had been clicking around. But, when I went back to double check, some weird things happened which led me to believe that Webtreo and AccessoryOne were the same company (if I clicked the links in a certain way, both “orders” led to the same page). Now, there is nothing wrong with that, except I suspect that there was a glitch where one order got fulfilled twice–and I got charged twice. Granted I didn’t check my order (it was really cheap)–and for the same reason, it’s not worth my time and shipping cost to return it.

I have been ordering from Amazon since the company first started operating, and this was a first for me.

So, double check your order before submitting it.

My Treo 650 was a hand-me-down from a relative. I knew the capabilities/features of the phone were great but the battery-life was useless – 30-35min. max of talk-time. In addition, the phone had a problem with not alerting me before the battery was drained, zero functionality (random, in-the-middle-of-conversation disconnects and/or dead battery sitting idle in my pocket). A lifestyle of keeping conversations and qty. of phone calls minimal as well as constant monitoring of the battery-life status in order to have an active phone in case of a true emergency. I thought a new phone was the answer and began to research other carriers and models. I avoided the option of a battery replacement due to the reputation that battery replacements for electronics are costly. Conclusion: Found an amazing price for this battery through Amazon.com < $8.00. Arrived in about a week and life today for me is speechless. I have a great phone and a more than dependable battery. I may buy another one for the mere fact that the price is a steal. Thank you - life changing.

2 Stars Good combination of features, lousy execution
I like all the combination of features that it comes with.

PROS:

- good reception for all the radios: AM/FM/SW. I would want more preset memory slots.

- good customization of S.A.M.E. alerts. You can specify what emergencies to be alerted for and to what degree (watch or warning).

- solar, lights, alarm, USB connectivity are good, practical add-ons. The solar is essential.

- decent display

Now the rest:

- body is not built strong enough – needs to be much more robust given its intended use in disasters and emergencies.

- the crank WILL BREAK. It’s only a matter of time – short time. Very poorly designed.

- knobs are cheap and flimsy

- No AC adaptor included! Come on.

- having water-proof like IPX-7 standard would be a good idea. This has no water resistance at all.

Making this more robust would increase the price, yes. In my opinion it is essential.
