Hi. It didn’t work for me at all. I really, really wanted it to, but there was no benefit at all. And that high-pitch thing annoyed me too.

I have Comcast cable internet and a Lynksys router.

Why can’t companies make reliable long lasting products that give good value for the money? This thing worked well for a few months, but it got very hot and stayed very hot all of it’s short lived life. Since the invention of electric current , hasn’t it been well documented and repeated like a mantra ad nauseum that HEAT is the bane of all things electronic ? So when Hawking designed and tested this thing, they simply decided that producing a product that heats up burningly hot would be a good idea? “Hey Joe, this gets hot enough to toast a cherry filled poptart, what should we do?” “They’re fine! let’s sell ‘em for top dollar!” “No passive radiator fins, no cooling vents, nothing?” “NO! Sell ‘em!” Now the the fragile little egg dressed as a Hawking signal booster totally and inevitably fried itself leaving only the high pitched squeal of tortured electronic components screaming to me to pull the plug. My tenuous connection to my too distant wireless access point is no more. Don’t waste your money.

I paid like $80 for it, and it did nothing at all. You want better signal sending and receiving best this is to buy Alfa USB and it works perfect and a lot cheaper.

Ok guys i got this delivered really fast considering it was standard shipping.. ok i read many reviews of the hsb2 one which seemed to come from most was this noise it had unfortunately the only noise i heard was when i placed my ear on it. Oh don’t try that if your bare foot you will get alittle buzz.. lol other than that it works really good i attached it to my external ant which is one of those dlink 8amp directional ants. it works great i would definitely recomend it to anyone who needs a farely cheap and really good looking booster…
